Kinder Camps

The Oakville Academy School for the Arts takes children 18 months- 4 years of age through fun introduction to the expressive arts. Each day, Early Childhood Educators work closely with our young campers to explore a core fine arts experience, participate in play activities in our licensed Toddler classroom, and Preschool/Kindergarten classroom and spend time outdoors in our fully-fenced playground. In addition, campers will take part in daily dance, music, and art sessions.

June 10-14

Investigators or Detectives

During this week campers will use their spy-detective sense to discover hidden treasures within the classroom, as well as outside on playground. We will look closely into what a good investigator needs in order to crack the case

June 17-21

Dinosaur Week

Campers will become archaeologists for the week and explore the world of dinosaurs through books, fossils, creative crafts, games and activities. With the use of our imagination, we will pretend to become Dinosaurs and do the Dinosaur Stomp. Roar!

June 24-28

Canada Day

Join us as we celebrate Canadian culture by creating and exploring some of Canada’s traditions through music, books and arts and crafts. And we will finish the week off with a delicious maple syrup tasting experiment.

July 2-5

Buggin’ Out

This week campers will become entomologists and explore the nature and the world around them through investigation and inquiry. Each day will bring a new insect to discover as the children go on a bug-hunt with STEM related activities and games.

July 8-12

Zoo Explorers

This week our campers will become zoologists, as they discover the many different animals that live within the zoo through books and arts and crafts. Through this discovery we will use our imagination to bring those animals to life through a variety of activities.

July 15-19

Under the Sea

Using an abundant array of materials and found objects, campers will be investigating and bringing to life the wonderful world of sea life. Discovering the world under the sea through the eyes of a fish, mermaid or whale will be this weeks’ most exciting challenge!

July 22-26

Pirates

Ahoy Matey’s, all aboard the OAA Ship! Campers will be able to bring Disney’s favourite characters such as Peter Pan and Captain Hook to life as we discover hidden treasures, scavenger hunts and how to read a Pirates Map.  

July 29-August 2

Fairy tales

You are cordially invited to an enchanted week of magical fun, with a sprinkle of fairy dust and a dollop of imagination. Campers will enjoy creating wands, crowns and magical fairy dust, while dressed as their favourite storybook character.

August 6-9 (4 Day Week)

Superhero’s

Let your imagination run wild as you become your favourite superhero and save the day! Campers will come dressed as their favourite superhero or create their own. Children will create masks, capes, headbands and discover how to build a superhero castle with Lego and magnetic pieces.

August 12-16

Music and Movement

Shake those sillies out to the rhythm of the beat. Each day campers will learn about a variety of musical instruments and discover how to make their own musical instruments through every day reusable materials.  

August 19-23

Mad Scientist

Our little scientist will be experimenting, exploring and investigating a variety of fun and exciting science labs. Each day will bring a new discovery through STEM related activities.

August 26-30

Nature and Environmental Art

This week we will focus on exploring the world that surrounds us through daily observations on our playground and surroundings areas.

NUTRITION

Campers will be provided two snacks daily (morning and afternoon) as well as a catered lunch (Full day campers only) This nutrition program is part of our licensed programming and is included in the registration fees.

 

WE KINDLY ASK THAT CAMPERS BRING..

All campers are required to bring a full change of clothing (labelled) EVERY DAY. Please provide: sweaters, jackets, hats, scarves, mittens, snow pants, boots, indoor shoes, t-shirts, and pants. Toys are not permitted at camp and will not be allowed in the classroom.

Please note that all camps are non-refundable and non-transferable.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note that ALL camps at The Oakville Academy for the Arts are non-refundable and non-transferable with the exception of camps that unable to run due to Government imposed lockdowns. In this case, they would be refunded (less Credit Card processing fee of $35.00) or credited to your account for later use.
